Senior Consultant - Network Reliability
Capenhurst, Chester (with hybrid working)
Join our dynamic Net Zero Transition (NZT) team as a Senior Consultant / Team Lead with a focus on improving energy network reliability and resilience. You will lead innovative projects that transition the energy system towards a sustainable future tackling the latest challenges in energy resilience and reliability, and be at the forefront of renewable integration, smart grid management, and consumer engagement.
Overview of Main Responsibilities:
- Lead on the delivery of projects showcasing new technologies, commercial arrangements, operational processes, and regulatory changes.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of work focusing on energy network resilience within the NZT team.
- Line management of a team of NZT consultants.
- Collaborate with energy networks, local authorities, large energy users, disruptors, and research bodies.
- Represent our organisation at industry forums, conferences, and working groups.
- Utilise advanced tools to analyse and present findings from large datasets.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a distribution network, energy consultancy, or related industry role.
- Knowledge of electricity network design for resilience and reliability.
- Understanding of regulatory incentives such as the Interruptions Incentive Scheme, Customer Interruptions and Customer Minutes Lost.
- Strong analytical and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand commercial aspects of project development and delivery.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Degree in electrical or another relevant engineering/science discipline.
