We are currently looking for an Engineering Trainer to join our team on a full-time basis.
The Role
As an Engineering Trainer, you will develop and deliver a range of engineering qualifications, short courses and managed training programmes both face to face and online.
You will enhance current courses and develop new programmes, as well as supporting the production of sales and customer engagement materials.
Outside of the learning environment, you will assist with customer enquiries, ensuring customers receive an excellent service and enquiries are resolved in a timely manner.
Additionally, you will carry out quality assurance tasks in relation to training delivery to ensure students receive the best possible experience.
This role will involve some travel across the UK.
About You
To be considered as an Engineering Trainer, you will need:
- A teaching qualification
- Excellent theoretical knowledge of engineering maths, engineering science, electrical and mechanical principals
- Knowledge of HV and LV electrical networks, equipment and their operation
- A client-driven, people-oriented approach
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- The ability to work on your own initiative
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant discipline
Possession of an assessing qualification would be beneficial to your application, as would specialist knowledge of network components.
Knowledge of HV Transmission and distribution networks would also be advantageous, as would knowledge of asset management principles.
Knowledge of safe systems of work and protection systems and network design would also be favourable, as would knowledge of commissioning and testing procedures and techniques. Knowledge of substation earthing would also be desirable.
