Due to significant growth and expansion, we have a vacancy for a Supplier Quality Assurance Officer to join our fantastic team so, if you’re already experienced in the Quality Assurance, Supplier Management and/or Manufacturing arenas, we’d love to hear from you!
**this is a hybrid role that requires you to be onsite at Capenhurst, near Chester (CH1 6ES) 3 days per week**
About the role:
• Conduct regular visits to suppliers to ensure products are being manufactured as per established quality procedures and specifications
• Work with suppliers and the Development Team to identify areas for continuous improvement in manufacturing and product quality
• Lead and organise comprehensive supplier audits to evaluate manufacturing processes, quality systems and compliance with industry standards
• Serve as the primary point of contact for addressing material-related queries from both suppliers and internal teams
• Co-ordinate the RMA process, ensuring defective or non-conforming products are identified and returned in compliance with company policies
• Monitor and action any production errors, ensuring timely root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Work cross-functionally with production, engineering and other relevant teams to address and resolve quality concerns
• Travel to supplier sites may include occasional overnight stays
What we’ll need from you:
• HNC in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing or related field (or equivalent working experience)
• Proven experience in quality assurance, supplier management or manufacturing, with a strong understanding of quality systems and manufacturing processes
• Experience leading supplier audits and driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with suppliers, teams and management
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to lead investigations and root cause analysis
• Familiarity with industry quality standards including ISO 9001
• Strong organisational and project management skills
• Full UK driving license
