Job Purpose:
The monitoring services team is looking for a Field Service Engineer who is self-motivated, with good organisational and time-management skills.
Overview of Main Responsibilities:
• Service work within the Monitoring Services Team including LV Cable Fault Location,
• LV Instrument training, deployment, fleet management and repair
• General support across the Business/Company
• Role will be split between office and regular offsite work
Essential skills and experience
• Electrical background essential e.g. time served Electrician
• Technical background with understanding of computer and software systems, fault diagnostics is essential
• Attention to detail and Health and Safety
• Good communication skills, oral and written
• Previous experience of HV/LV testing/diagnostics/maintenance would be an advantage
• Willing to occasionally work overseas/offshore (previous experience an advantage)
Knowledge
• Comfortable with ability to run algorithms, software scripts, deploying updates, etc. is essential
• Knowledge and experience of MV/HV electricity distribution assets is beneficial
• An understanding of market drivers (customers and competition)
